Travel Consultations

Only have time for one trip this year?

Not sure which countries make sense to start with or cross off next on your list?

Rather than a travel agent who gets paid by the activities, flights or hotels they arrange I will just give my thoughts and recommendations.

I’ll talk with you about my own person experiences and talking with other travelers while abroad. Giving suggestions about what to do, where to go, and what to avoid. Just advise so there is no conflict of interest.

Countries I have visited where I can be the most help include:

  • Argentina
  • Aruba
  • Australia
  • Bahamas
  • Belize
  • Bosnia & Herzegovina
  • Brazil

My Favorite Products

Davis sitting on a rock with 3 pairs of shoesI’ve tried and tested many items while traveling over the years and am always on the look out for better products. My personal favorites and what I use on every trip are included via Amazon.com links here. Your purchase helps me support this blog and website.

Backpack/Carry On I haven’t checked a bag in 10 years. Primarily due to this mid sized backpack. Several side compartments, access zippers, and handles make it an easy fit in every overhead bin I’ve encountered.

Passport Holder and Wallet A great way to keep everything in a central location. Passport, cash, vaccine cards, and plenty of additional space for other forms of ID.

Packing Cubes These have been a lifesaver and fit great into the backpack above. Rather than getting frustrated by not finding your favorite pair of sox, why not have it organized into four different cubes?!?!

Roll Organizer The easiest way to have all your toiletries organized in a compact, hangable, rollable carrying case. Water resistant to boot.

Daypack When rolled into itself carrying case it is smaller than your hand. Ultra light, thin, and easy to carry in your pocket until needed.

Sunglasses I love these things. You’ll see many of my selfies in the purple version. I have a half dozen different colors. Made of wood, inexpensive, they float, and look damn good.

Waterbottle Light, collapsible, and it filters your water. I take this on every trip and fill it with tap water just to be safe. Great for camping as well.

Jet Lag Remedy Seems a little weird but taking one pill every two hours really does cut down on jet lag. I can tell on longer trips that span multiple time zones the difference.

Sleeping Bag From Hyke and Byke made with duck down. On top of just being fun to say this bag is tiny. To the point I wondered if it would keep me warm in the Colorado mountains. It has, many times over. I also have the zero degree for those really cold nights.

Waterproof Backpack When you’re packing this many electronics you better have them protected. Yeti, better known for coolers also has this. Much like the top back pack this fits under every plane seat I’ve been on. Clutch.

It’s in the name. I typically have gotten every other updated model and compared to other companies the self editing software is amazing.

Drone I’ve had 4 of the DJI Mavic Pro’s. Lost two, and traded up the others. The new versions have multiple sensors which prevent you from running into that pesky tree two miles away. Its an amazing piece of engineering.
